NOME – A Movement in the Form of an Exhibition

On view at MuseumLV until April 26, Elīna Maligina’s interactive exhibition NOME is more than just art – it’s the beginning of a social movement that challenges perception and confronts the systems we live in. 

Bold, provocative, and unapologetically modern, Maligina uses powerful symbolism and raw visuals to question consumerism, identity, and resistance. From a white coffin and toilet bowls to rooms filled with mountains of discarded clothes, each space confronts excess, noise, and societal pressure. 

Black tape becomes a tool of protest – covering logos, screens, and empty words – encouraging viewers to reclaim freedom from imposed norms.

NOME isn’t just a name – it’s a contradiction, a message, a mirror.
